This project has turned out like many of the ICOs from 2017...
If money is the issue...welcome to entrepreneurship. It should of been a given it would need to be created on a shoe string budget. The money may come later, or may not. But why has this turned into a shit hole? Was it a get rich quick idea at the beginning? Why do you not care about the site anymore?
If time is the issue, surely you have at least a couple of minutes in a day to at least make a status and/or respond to issues. With anything, communication is key.
If coding skills are the issue. Ask for help. Network with others. Go hire someone off of Odesk to help you for damn sake. This is your project. Do you not want it to be successful? Take whatever money you need from another job, funnel it into this. Do you not want your creation to be successful? If you're not willing to do what it takes, why did you start?
There's been 0 effort on trying to get any engagement from its user base for a very long time. So not only does the coding suck, so does any marketing efforts. Don't blame it on the down market. Again, you don't have to be an expert on something, just capable of delegating to those who are.
And now...long term users are saying they may leave this place. When it gets to that point, it's a joke. Unless you moved to Eskimo land, you have access to the internet to post updates. If you can't figure something out, say so. It's that easy. People would be a lot more receptive just by communicating properly.
As for me, I'll be here till the web host suspends their service. Or I get kicked out and banned. But if it's the latter, you should know.... @ThePtero is like chlamydia. You may get rid of me for a few, but I'm always lurking behind the next corner.
Your first point pretty much describes the problem I have with them...
They abandoned the site a long time ago to build another gaming tournament style site specific for Apex Legends during the Apex Legends hype. Join the discord and see for yourself (site is legend.gg)
Anyone with a brain would think that a social cryptocurrency portfolio tracking site has way more potential to become profitable than another gaming tournament site.
The problem is exactly as you stated: they gave up. They realized that they don't have the money or the talent to build this site up and just said "Fuck It." And in some desperate attempt to chase money created their Apex Legends tournament site... Hoping that their $0 magic marketing / "growth hacking" bs will somehow make the site popular enough to become profitable.
Hmm... I'm begining to see a pattern with this Apex Legends site and Altpocket... Coincidence? No, I'm sure this is the same reason why their last startup failed.
And now, here we are today. The site is still buggy as hell. Icons still missing for coins. Broken promises again and again, they are more compulsive liars.
To say I'm disappointed in them would be an understatement. They don't even have the balls to address our complaints. And if their excuse is that they are "in the process of making an announcement" they should at least tell us exactly when they plan on giving it to ease our concerns. Common sense 101
Damn! I gave them all the benefit of the doubt for a long time and they fucked us over. Well I’ll still be here occasionally. I wish we could go back to the October 2017 version of this, it was much better.
