Is €880 a realistic price to set my buy order for ETH? Do we think it will get that low in the immediate future?

I think the only reason I'm making any profit is that the GBP is gaining strength against the USD so my invested amount keeps shrinking... Haven't made nearly as much as I thought!

    • What did you expect?

    • I expected some profit from excellent choices in portfolio, cunning timing and razor sharp executions. But instead my main profit is a byproduct of the fiat exchange rate :)

Time to sit on my hands again. Bought a few altcoins in the last few days but now looking at a sea of red.
Have I bought any duffers?
Hoping that in a month or two we might see greens again!

    • I'm expecting BTC to hit sub $10k again in the next days. We can expect a full recovery of the crypto market afterwards!

SO I've joined the Kucoin exchange - what's it mean with the little HOLD symbol against every pair?

    • Their recommendation on whether you should hold; buy; sell

    • ah - thanks - I thought it was like "Frozen" or "Maintenance" or I had to complete some more tasks before being able to trade. Thanks

    • @dullarddist Never knew this, thanks! Not sure if an exchange should be advising people on this tbh, but that's something else entirely.

Still trying to keep my investments straight - when i SELL an Investment (Neo) for Eth - where does that ETH go? new investment or Balance?

Keep my small ETH or convert to more XLM or buy some XRP? Do we think XRP will rebound? Not had any yet and wondered if it was a bargain yet.

Or just sit on my hands?

    • Keep ETH!

    • I bought ETH at $ 895

    • Keep ETH. Never touch XRP.

    • XRP will bounce back only till 2$ not more than that.

    • @Rocketboy I do not hate Ripple. It is just not a sound investment for a retail investor, because it is a centralized fiat-currency, which 1) Can be minted at will 2) 62% is owned by by Ripple Labs and is not in circulation 3) XRP is not needed for bank transfers 4) Ripple Labs has complete control of your funds.

Ripple Net has is use case for BANKS and I have nothing against it. But even Ripple Labs has warned retail investors about investing in XRP. It is basically a pump n dump coin in the crypto community. Expect it to go below a dollar and stay there for at least a year for the next pump n dump.

It is not completely outruled, that it couldn't make a pump even soon. But the point is, the risks are too high compared to the rewards. XRP has such a big market cap already, that there isn't that much room to grow. So negligible gains if any, with all of the risks mentioned above. So if the train leaves, you don't have to be sorry to be out for the right reasons: There are plenty of other coins with much better potential gains without any of those risks involved.

So I'd stay away from it. For good.

Was relectant to look this morning. I don't think its over. Bought some more NEO when it hit my ETH/NEO price order, but it hasnt made much of a difference.
Still - I'm still up but only just.

I wonder if next time USDT is the way to go?

    • Bitcoin trade volumes are now really high! Last time we have seen such volumes were when it rose back to 17,5k. So I am optimistic now, I think the correction is over.

    • @akoljm
could be over, but I rather think we will fight the 10.000 - 11.300 a while. I also think it could be possible to test the 8.900 dollar or even 7.900-8.100 dollar supports and then it shoots up eith enough strength again like a real pullback.

bitfinex withdrawal tax, 0.01 ETH. versus 0.001 LTC.
No contest - moving by Litecoin it is!

    • yhhh babyyyy

    • You are behind the curve...the asians are using xvg to move their money. The cost is 0.2 xvg for any amount. Pennies...

    • Once you have it on the other exchange where you want to trade, convert it back into Btc, ltc, or ether. This is why xvg is doing such high volumes. Its the next litecoin.

Should we be concerned about the Korean clampdown on exchanges? Where one government goes, others are sure to follow?
For myself, I plan to move my pittance off the exchanges and into a wallet ASAP, pause trading and ride/hodl this dip for a few months.
