    • Was reading about it earlier. The whole "get paid with sweatcoins for exercising and spend them on merchandise" sounds too good to be true. And seeing that this is the world of crypto, it probably is.

    • I would stay away from sweatcoin

    • Simmilar to XP no interest

    • My favorite coin would definitely have to be Ethereum. Even though I don't have very much, I am a huge advocate. There is no denying that it is *one* of the most influential and innovative cryptocurrencies since Bitcoin.

    • $DOGE because a memecoin managed to achieve a $1.4b market gap.

    • LTC for sure

    • DRGN babyyyy - you hear about the new CFO? They run like a full on organization. High powered team.

    • I use Bittrex more so far. However, Binance has more coins and has better trade tools. I will be using Binance in the future.

    • PS, I have a Kucoin account but haven't even gotten into it much yet. It looks really legit. Just stay away from cryptopia.

    • I'm on cryptopia, binance, coinexchange, bluetrade, coinsmarket. I've had no problems with cryptopia, binance and coinexchange. Wouldn't advice bluetrade and coinsmarket. Cryptopia has small coins with potential, but 75% is trash.

So I want to get into mining either Monero or Ethereum. I'm relatively new to mining. I've only ever really "Facuet Mined" before. I was looking into it and I think I'll go with EthOS for the OS and maybe MinerGate for the XMR or ETH pool. Spent a lot of today debating over hardware and I've finally come to this list: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/Madness0403/saved/q2Xpbv
Does this look alright for mining? Is it overkill, or is it not enough? Any feedback is appreciated!

    • Heya, I wrote a few guides on Mining and Hardware considerations for GPU based coins like ETH and XMR about a rig operation we were doing in the summer. I'll link you up if you are interested! I'd say the barrier of entry is pretty steep at the moment to make it worthwhile but you never know if it might be viable for you!

    • Awesome sounds great!

    • Here you go boss, hope it's helpful:

      and Number 2:

      both via Steemit

good job on mining your first bit of crypto! Let's see what you can come up with.

Edit: Had to play with the format a bit to get the links (shortened with bit.ly) to display correctly.

    • Just 2 gpus? Be weary of 4GB gpus. I don't know when, but the DAG is pretty large on ethereum already. I just finished building my first rig in December. I used 6 rx 580s (8gb, to future proof when that DAG size is 4gb+). It's running on a very low power celeron cpu, 4gb of ram, and a biostar motherboard. I'm powering it with (2) 850w seasonic power supplys, linked together.

    • Just curious... What temps do gpus run at in an open air environment while mining? Wanted to build a rig in the future but my basement can get kinda hot...

Is there a known date as for when support for Binance API will be added? Thanks :) keep up the good work Altpocket Staff!

    • I think that SC is just a safer investiment, but as a project I prefer TRX.
